Vernal Irene Densberger

Vernal Densberger of Shamrock, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Rector Pioneer Chapel with Pastor John Craig and Pastor Sandi Craig of Life of Worship Ministries officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St.

Vernal Irene Densberger was born on Dec. 6, 1943, in Harvard, Nebraska, to Fritz and Ida Bartlett, one of 11 children. She married Kenneth Densberger on Jan 19, 1964, in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Vernal loved reading, country music, gardening, riding bikes, garage sales and thrift store finds, and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Densberger; and daughter, Tina Densberger.

Vernal is survived by daughter, Tammy Sutton of Duncan, Oklahoma; daughter, Tracy Bacon and husband John of Amarillo Texas; grandchildren, Kendra and Kristan Sutton, Triniti Thompson, Jadon Watson, Justin and Annalicia Montoya, and Felicia Bacon; and several great-grandchildren.
