Vicki Bess Howell

Vicki Bess Howell of Amarillo died Thursday June 6, 2019. Arrangements made by Rector funeral Home Osage Chapel. Family will have a private burial at a later date. Vicki Howell was born in Wellington, Kansas to Melvin and Ruth Green June 23, 1943. She married the love of her life,Wayne, October 23, 1961. They spent 57 wonderful years together after being lifelong friends and high school sweethearts. They never missed a Saturday date night. She was excited when her and Wayne built their house in Kansas where she kept quite the collection of antiques and Victorian glass. She moved to Amarillo in 2000. Vicki was an animal lover who absolutely adored her companion Maxi, her dog of eleven years. She was also a horseman and showed Arabian Horses. She was a good woman to all, but an exceptional mother and grandmother, where she wore the title "Mimi" Very proudly. Vicki is Survived by her husband Wayne Howell, daughter Kim and her husband Kevin Rains, one granddaughter Kristi Rains, two grandsons Corey and wife Rachel Botkin and Corbyn and his wife Shelby Rains, and three Great grandsons, Finn and Mixx Botkin, and Jameson Rains. Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, a son Brent Howell, a grandson Christopher Botkin and brother Tommy Green. No Service Thursday, June 06, 2019
