Vicky Lynn Hunter

Vicky Lynn Hunter, 68, of Amarillo died Sunday, August 14, 2022, in the comfort of her home. Graveside service is at 10 am Wednesday at Llano Cemetery officiated by campus pastor Craig Albracht of Hillside Christian Church. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Vicky was born in Amarillo on May 17, 1954, to Lavern and Waymon Keys. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1972. She married the love of her life, Steve Hunter on November 28, 1981. He preceded her on June 27, 2003. She welcomed her daughter, Kammi into the world in November of 1982. Vicky worked many years as a unit coordinator at St. Anthonys Hospital before transferring to medical billing. She would retire from llano Cemetery in 2020. Vicky was an ornery woman that spoke her mind, but she had a big heart. She was a very good mother. When it came to daughter Kammis events, you could count on Vicky to go above and beyond, always bringing good drinks and snacks. She also enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Vicky was preceded in death by her husband, Steve hunter, and her parents, Lavern and Waymon Keys. She is survived by her daughter, Kammi Hunter, and her best friend, Faye Beck.
