Viona Elaine Tapscott

Viona Elaine Tapscott 75, of Ruidoso, NM died Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Church of Christ at the Colonies with Dick Marcear, pastor officiating. Private family burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Tapscott was born in April 12, 1941 in Tucumcari, NM to Earl Delbert and Jaunnetta Love. She moved to Amarillo in 1959 where she met and married the love of her life Bill Tapscott in 1960. They moved to El Paso in 1978. After Bills retirement, they moved back to Amarillo. Bill passed away in 2004 and she moved to Ruidoso. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three sons, James Tapscott and his wife Holly of Cabot, Ark., Austin Tapscott and his wife Tracy of Little Elm and Lonnie Tapscott and his wife Romelia of El Paso; two daughters, Elaina Tapscott of Burleson and Elisia VanScoter and husband Mike of Alpharetta, GA; two brothers, Ronnie Love of Fair Oaks Ranch and Randy Love of Amarillo; one sister, Bonnie Antwine of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
