Virginia Coleman

Virginia Coleman, 83, of Amarillo died Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Service is 2:00 pm Thursday, January 21 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Virginia was born in Paducah on November 25, 1937, to Thelma and William Jolley Sr. She enjoyed singing, painting, and reading her bible. She was very active in the church. Virginia was a member of Forrest Hill Church of Christ for 20 years until they merged with West Amarillo Church of Christ for 15 years. She did a lot of volunteer work at the church. She orchestrated a benevolent center with the church and the state. Virginia did this for over 10 years. Virginia met the love of her life, Marvin Coleman in Lubbock in 1954, they got married in 1955. They were married 51 years until he died in 2006. She was a loving and caring woman with a big heart. Family meant a lot to her. Virginia enjoyed having her children and grandchildren over. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Lois Jones, four brothers; William Jr., James, Mickey, and Glendale Jolley. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Milton and her husband Greg, her two sons; Danny, and Brian Coleman and his wife Danielle, seven grandchildren; Christina, Jason, Ryan, Trent, Brent, Cameron, Carson, and Michael, six great-grandchildren; Landon, Quirt, Kambri, Trace, Levi, and Chloe.
