Wayne Biggs 55 of Amarillo died Friday January 18, 2008 at Amarillo. Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at South Georgia Baptist Church with Bob Miller pastor and Bro. Lucas Biggs, son and youth pastor of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church in Hooks officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Monday in Panhandle Cemetery at Panhandle. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Wayne was born in Borger and graduated from Panhandle High School in 1970. He lived in Spearman for 28 years where he worked for 5 Star Equipment for more than 20 years. He also worked at Prairie Motors as a shop foreman and service writer. He moved to Amarillo in 2004. Wayne was currently employed by Heritage Equipment (formerly Scott Tractor) as a mechanic. Wayne was a former member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Spearman. He sang with the Servants of Faith and the Panhandle Singing Men. He led worship at First Baptist Church of Spearman and various other churches in the Texas Panhandle. Wayne was also very involved with the Emmaus community in the panhandle. He and his wife joined South Georgia Baptist Church in 2006. He was currently serving as a deacon. He married Kathy (Tyler) Doub in 1973 at Panhandle. Survivors include: his wife, 1 daughter; Vanessa Watkins and her husband James of Amarillo, 1 son, Lucas Biggs and his wife Jessica of Hooks; 1 sister, Kerri Hicks and her husband Tony of San Antonio; his parents, Jim and Betty Biggs of Panhandle and 1 granddaughter Abigail Elizabeth Biggs. The family will be at 6807 Hurst.
