Willa Loris Beach

Willa Loris Wagner Beach, age 90, passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 in Amarillo. Memorial services for will be held 11:00 AM Monday, Feb. 4 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Willa was born in Charleston, SC to William P Wagner and Wilhelmina Annie Hopke. Willa loved animals and her birds, that she fed twice a day, she liked to call them her "piggies". The family were avid skiers when the children were growing up, Fred and Willa were on the Ski Patrol and Fred went on to be a ski instructor in Colorado. Willa was always stylish and once hurt her leg while skiing. The family was so proud in 2005 when Willa achieved rank of Silver Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League. She loved Bridge and was an excellent player. One of her favorite treats was Hershey Dark Chocolate Kisses. Willa married Renfroe Ross Beach in 1948 in Buchanan, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Renfroe; children, Fredrik Ross Beach, and Willa Loris Beach-Porter. She is survived by her Daughter in law, Elissa Beach of San Marcos, TX, her Nephews, Richard (Rick) Wagner of Evans, GA, Leslie (Les) Wagner, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, cousin Laura Metheny and adopted niece, Brenda Huseman of Amarillo, TX.
