William Adams

William ""Bill"" Adams, 70 of Amarillo died Friday November 3, 2006 at Amarillo. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Adams was born in Jackson County, Colorado. He grew up in Toyah, TX, and in Grand Falls, TX. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954, and served in Vietnam. He was a decorated war veteran, having earned the Bronze star with V device for valor, and 3 purple hearts. He retired from the military in 1974. Most recently, he worked as a security guard for Lone Wolf Security. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Adams Williams, in 2002, and by 3 brothers. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Terri Adams of Amarillo; 1 son, Travis Adams; one grandson, Nicholas Adams; 2 sisters, Loretta Kelldorf and husband Bill of Tyler, TX, and Betty Hinz of Clinton, OK; 3 brothers, Gerald Adams and wife Cecile of Sarasota, FL, Alvin Adams and wife Lois of Weatherford, OK, and Dr. Jerome M. Adams and wife Irene of Burkburnett, TX.
