William 'Willy' Lester

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday at the chapel of First Baptist Church with Robby Barrett, associate pastor officiating. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Lester was born in Lubbock and lived in Amarillo most of his life. He worked as a truck driver for Allied, Armstrong and M&L Transfer. He also worked as a plumbers helper at Tri-State Mechanical and Morrisons Supply Co. He last worked at Sears and retired from Dillards where he worked in the maintenance department. He married Patty Holmes on October 24, 1957 in Lubbock. He was a member of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Lester is survived by his wife, 1 daughter, Natalie Lester; 1 son James A. Lester; his sister, Henrietta Chavez; 2 grandchildren, James Murdoch and his wife Joy and Holly Torrez; 1 great granddaughter Izabella Torrez.
