William Coleman ""Bill"" Woodruff, 86 of Amarillo, died Monday December 10, 2007 at Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with John Curry of Pampa officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM at the Mobeetie Cemetery at Mobeetie. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Woodruff was born in Cove, Ark. He moved to Pampa in 1951 from Wheeler. He owned and operated Brown Street American Service Station for several years. After closing his service station, Bill worked at J-Bob's Gulf Station for 10 years. He retired in 1989. Bill married Geneva Hunt on March 7, 1945 at Wheeler. She preceded him in death in 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include: 3 daughters; Helen Lemons and her husband Alton of Fort Gibson, OK, Coleen Rector and her husband Delbert of Amarillo and Elaine James and her husband Lewis of Pampa, 1 son; James Woodruff and his wife Debbie of Amarillo, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
