Willie Jewel Bowen

Willie Jewel Bowen, 73, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday February 16, 2016 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm in Osage Baptist Church 8425 S. Osage St. with Pastor David Speed officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. 2800 S. Osage St. Willie was born February 16, 1943 in San Saba he moved to Amarillo in 2014 from Perryton. He honorably served in the Army during Vietnam. Willie worked for Affiliated Foods for several years. Willie married Edna Smith on January 12, 1968 in Perryton. He attended Osage Baptist Church. Willie enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and friends. Willie is preceded in death by a granddaughter Shawna Voitle in 2005. He is survived by his wife Edna Bowen of the home, two daughters; Robin Voitle of Grandbury, and Ally Nichols and husband Rick of Amarillo, two sons; James Bowen of Clovis, NM and Shane Bowen and wife Stacie of Menifee, CA. a sister; Alwilda Haggerton of Llano, and three brothers; Farlyn Bowen of Llano, Lee Randall of Lexington, OK and Dean Bowen of Sanford, VA.
