Willie James "Tuttie" Ryan

Willie James “Tuttie” Ryan, 61, passed away Oct. 12, 2025.

Willie was born July 19, 1964, in Pampa to Luster Mae Britt Ryan and Bel Moore Ryan Jr. Born and raised in Pampa, his mother later moved him and his four siblings to Amarillo in 1975. Willie attended Baker Elementary School in Pampa, and Horace Mann Middle School and Amarillo High School in Amarillo, later completing his G.E.D.

In 1982, Willie found love and married his first love, Patsy Jo (Molden) Ryan - a union that lasted until 2009. Together they had five children, Karmita, James, Krystal, and twins Kyle and Kyesha. In 2014, Willie married again - his soulmate, Jetan Nicole (Johnson) Ryan. Through their union, he gained three beloved bonus children, Orlandrixs, Laniquedrix and Kylan. His beloved Nicole passed away in 2021, leaving him widowed. Later, Willie shared a special relationship with Janice Timmons from 2023 until his passing. Together they had a son, Jeramy.

Willie made a pivotal decision to embrace faith, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized to publicly affirm his faith and became a devoted member of Victory Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Amarillo, where he answered his spiritual calling and was ordained as a minister in 1991. Willie also dedicated over two decades of service to the City of Amarillo, where he worked from 1984 until his retirement in 2005.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ryan; his parents, Bel Moore Ryan and Luster Mae Ryan; his grandparents, Wilsona Britt and Clarence “Poppa Daddy” Britt, and Lula and Bel Moore Ryan Sr.; his aunts, Arthur Mae “Shorty” Hart and Doris Britt; and his wife, Jetan Nicole Ryan.

He leaves to cherish his memory six children, Karmita Ryan of North Richland Hills, James Ryan of DeSoto, Krystal Ryan of Missouri City, Kyle Ryan of Beaumont, Kyesha Ryan of Dallas and Jeramy Timmons Ryan of Amarillo; three bonus children, Orlandrixs Lofton of Las Vegas, Laniquedrix “Nique” Lofton of Bedford and Kylan Olasunkanmi of Hurst; and his special friend and significant other, Janice Timmons.

He is also survived by his siblings, Billy Ryan of Amarillo, Edward Ryan of Lubbock, Jessie Ryan of Amarillo and Calvin Ryan and wife Krystle of Amarillo; his sister-cousins, Linda Kamon Simmons of Amarillo, Vickie Thomas of Louisiana and Lynell Collier of Amarillo; 21 grandchildren, TsaMarte Ryan, Marte’Zsa Price, Shante’Vya Hopson, Tavian Price, T’Nyah Hopson, Octavious Price Jr., JaQwaveon Wilson, Kyla Ryan, Jakasha (Nerrick) Gasper, Ricky Wilson, J’Mmyria Hopson, Jamesiah Ryan, A’Nyzsa Burnett, Jaikylie Baker, Briante Watson, Jarion Timmons, Aaliyah Ryan, Jhamaii Williams, Nehemiah Williams, Tu’kiri Butler and Kyson Olasunkanmi; five great-grandchildren, Zaylee Ryan, Brooklyn Rubio, Elias Garret, Kae’lynn Price and Malaia Donald; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all the prayers, phone calls, texts, visits, and many other acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, TX 79103.
