Willodeane Chennault (95) went to heaven on Monday, August 20, 2018, surrounded by family at home in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Braithwaite, Oklahoma on November 6, 1922 to Jesse and Callie Mincher. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Harris, ( 98) of Amarillo, TX; daughter-in-law, Ginger Chennault of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren (Kerry, Ronald Ray, Shanda (Tim), Kitty Dean, and Brian), 14 great- grandchildren, 13 great- great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Callie Mincher; her sons, Ronald Chennault and Donald Chennault; brothers, Arloe Mincher and Marvin (Buster) Mincher; and sister, Paula Williams. Throughout her life, Willodeane loved to cook. Her pea salad and peanut butter cups were a family favorite. Served as a military wife, raising two sons, at various Air Force Stations within the US and overseas. The Chennaults Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings were a very special time for her, which included sharing a Cowboy football game. Prideful of her independent life, she cherished her friendships along the way, enjoyed bowling, bicycle riding, family picnics, line dancing, music (Country or Elvis) and playing the drums! She enjoyed a highly successful career as a Payroll Supervisor for the US Government at Air Force Bases in Amarillo, TX, Holloman, NM, and overseas in Germany and the Philippines. She loved to drive and fly. In her travels, she enjoyed the sites of Tennessee, California, Oregon, Hawaii, and Washington DC. While residing in my final home, Albuquerque, NM, I continued to watch you on my nieces laptop. My favorite was the book of John. The Prayer Quilt Ministry for each knot that represented a prayer for me. We loved breakfast on the patio and watching the balloons fly over the house. We miss your positive attitude and continuous SMILE. Dear Lord, on Monday, August 20, 2018, you ushered in another day, untouched and Freshly New. At 1:40pm that day, I took your hand, held it tight, and walked with you on my pathway to Heaven. AMEN.
