Winnie Lee Puryear

Winnie Lee Puryear, 86 of Amarillo died Monday October 12, 2015 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday in Llano cemetery with Gary Ferguson of Vancouver, WA officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas 79103 Winnie was born on January 22, 1929 in Big Fork. Ark. to Earl and Elva Fowler. She moved to Amarillo in the 1960s. Winnie married Carmen Earl Puryear on December 20, 1947. She was a member of Souls Harbor Church. Winnie enjoyed playing board games with her friends and family. Winnie is preceded in death by; her parents, and husband, a son Larry Dean Puryear, three brothers; Alibee, Weaver, and Hugh HM Fowler, two sisters; Genevive Cummings and Bina Lou Lang, and a great granddaughter Katelyn Asplof. She is survived by; three daughters; Regina Barkley and husband Dave, Nelda Asplof and husband John, of Amarillo, and Belinda Cooper and husband Chuck of Wildorado, two sisters, Earlene Hughes and husband MH, and Betty Bruce and husband Jim both of Bakersfield, CA. 15 Grandchildren, Numerous Great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews
