Yolonda Wade Folsom

Yolonda Wade Folsom, 64 of Amarillo died Wednesday December 5, 2007. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dr. Charles Jones of Hollywood Road Community Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas Mrs. Folsom was born in Los Angeles, CA. She moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Hollis, OK. Mrs. Folsom worked at Southwest Prestressed Concrete for 13 years. She worked at the Potter County District Clerk's office for 6 years. In 1999 she went to work at D&S Pharmacy where she was an office administrator. Mrs. Folsom was very unselfish and greatly enjoyed giving to others. She loved working in her flower garden and shopping. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports. Her greatest joy was being with her family. She married Wendell Folsom on September 3, 1960 at Hollis, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, G.K. and Jo Wade, her grandparents Charles and Gertie Parr and a brother Chuck Wade. Survivors include: her husband of the home, 3 daughters; Tonya Folsom of Guymon, OK, Shawn Folsom of Amarillo and Danielle Coleman and her husband Brian all of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Sue Hays and her husband Guy of Enid, OK and Nan Hubbard and her husband Harlan of Elk City, OK, 1 brother; Kirk Wade and his wife Margaret of Gould, OK, 6 grandchildren; Andrew and Taylor Folsom, Cameron, Carson, Trent and Brent Coleman and 3 nephews; James Kirk and David Wade and Walton Hubbard. The family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
