What is pre-planning?
Pre-planning is the process of making your funeral, cremation, or memorial service wishes known in advance. It allows you to document important decisions ahead of time, helping ensure your preferences are honored while reducing stress and uncertainty for your loved ones.
By planning ahead, you can take your time exploring options, asking questions, and creating a plan that reflects your values, wishes, and the legacy you want to leave behind. It's a thoughtful way to provide peace of mind for both yourself and your family.
Is pre-planning only for seniors?
Not at all. Adults of all ages choose to plan ahead to help protect and support their families.
What information do I need to pre-arrange a funeral?
You'll need basic information about yourself or the person you are planning for, such as date of birth, marital status, parent's full names, etc. Besides the biological information, you'll need to choose burial or cremation, what type of service you'd like, what cemetery to use, etc. Our caring staff will help you with this process.
Do I have to pay in advance?
Not always. If you plan to use life insurance, another funeral home's pre-need contract, or burial insurance, contact our office for an appointment for review and options. Oftentimes we can honor other funeral home pre-need policy. Many families do choose to pre-fund their funeral arrangements to lock in today’s pricing. Doing so will relieve the financial burden of the family and offer peace of mind to everyone.
Can I transfer my plans to or from another funeral home?
If you have plans at another funeral home and would like to move them here, we will help you do that. If you move from the area and would like to transfer your arrangements to another funeral home, we will assist you with that as well.
